The Second Annual DFW-Math Contest Result

Time is flying. The Second Annual DFW Math Contest was held by Dallas Modern Chinese Language School (DMCLS) and St. Mark’s high school students on April 2.

It was drizzling. But it didn’t affect the enthusiasms of the contestants and the parents.

This year, the number of the contestants is doubled last year.

They came from Allen,Dallas,Frisco,Plano,Richardson and Highland Park etc. 。

The contestants focused themselves on the problems.  They were thinking deeply, answering carefully.

We hope and believe, this contest will enhance their loves to the mathematics and the desire to learn mathematics.

The Dallas Modern Chinese Language School  and the four St. Mark’s school high school students were delighted to be able to provide such a chance for the contestants.

They also expressed their sincere appreciation to the contestants and their parents for their support and trust!

The preparation of this event involved great team works.

Four high school students (Dylan Liu, Albert Luo, Jesse Zhong and Nicholas Tsao) wrote the problems. Because of the busy high school schedule, they often discussed the problems until midnight; Sometimes they stayed late in the school to prepare the problems.

Then the DMCLS mathematics teacher reviewed the problems.

At the ceremony, the DMCLS and the four St. Mark’s students addressed to contests and their parents. They expressed their appreciation to the contestants and their parents. They encouraged the students to learn Math, Chinese thoroughly at younger age and prepare for future.

The awards ceremony ends in a happy, warm atmosphere.

We hope to see all the contestants Next Spring again!

Competition Math Club

About DMCLS Competition Math Club

St. Mark’s Four High School Students, Dylan Liu(10th grader),Albert Luo(10th grader), Jesse Zhong (11th grader),Nicholas Tsao (9th Grader), naturally loves math from their younger age. In the fall of 2015, with the support from Dallas Modern Chinese Language School, they started their Math Competition Club in DMCLS campus. They teach competition math such as MathCounts,AMC8, AMC10,AIME for 6 to 9 grade students with the intention to share their experience with more people and transfer their enthusiasm for math to the others. After almost two years, this club is highly praised by students and their parents.
